On an expedition with Thea

As you walk through the halls of UNIS Group, you are bound to encounter Thea. Thea works as the team coordinator in the shipping department. She spends her days coordinating all incoming and outgoing packages. With a smile on her face and a keen eye for detail, Thea has been with UNIS Group for more than twenty-five years, first as a cleaner, then as a shipping employee, and now as the team coordinator of the shipping department.

Cleaner Thea hasn’t always worked in the shipping department. She started as a cleaner twenty-five years ago. “We worked in a small building with seven employees. I used to clean in the evenings,” Thea recalls. “At some point, it got busier, and I was asked if I wanted to coordinate the incoming repair packages during the day. I did that along with cleaning.” As the team grew larger, Thea became the team coordinator of the shipping department. She is responsible for coordinating all incoming and outgoing shipments. From receiving packages to sending repaired equipment, her days are filled with solving problems and ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

Satisfied customers For Thea, the work goes beyond just the logistics aspect. “We do it for the customer. A satisfied customer returns,” she explains. Her dedication to providing good service is evident in her daily work and her interactions with the team. In addition to her operational tasks, Thea is also a mentor and motivator for her colleagues. She encourages them to communicate openly, have confidence in themselves, and strive towards a common goal: customer satisfaction. “I think it’s important that everyone in the team knows what we’re working for and that we collaborate to achieve that goal.”

Variety Thea particularly enjoys the variety in her job. “I love the variety, and it keeps things exciting. We never know what’s going to happen, and that keeps us sharp.” She also strives every day to handle all the repairs with her team. “When we’ve processed everything, it gives me energy. Then I think: we did it again, we managed to complete everything on time.”
