Coordinating, motivating, and repairing

Eibert started thirteen years ago as a repair technician in the Robotics department of the technical service, where around twenty technicians were employed at that time. Seven years ago, a decision was made to establish a second team to distribute the workload: TD Robotics 2. Eibert is the team leader of this team. Robotics 2 is responsible for repairing robot controllers and everything inside a robot controller, such as power supplies, axis modules, computers, and resolvers. Additionally, they repair certain drives, high-frequency modules, and (UV) lamp power supplies.

Complex repairs As a team leader in the repair department, Eibert coordinates the work and manages delivery times. He is also actively involved in carrying out repairs and describes his duties as: “Besides my coordinating tasks, I also perform repairs myself and closely monitor the waiting times.” He finds it particularly challenging to repair parts that are almost beyond repair, such as those damaged by fire. It gives him great satisfaction when he successfully completes such a complex repair. “When our team consistently achieves good results, with parts leaving our workshop fully functional, I am proud of what we have accomplished together.”

Encouraging and motivating Eibert enjoys encouraging and motivating his team members, using his positive attitude to foster an atmosphere of collaboration and support. “Motivating people comes naturally when you are cheerful and positive yourself; I like to pass that energy onto the team.” Eibert is a leader who prefers to stand alongside his colleagues rather than above them. “While I do have a managerial role and am a key figure in that sense, I prefer not to be seen as ‘the boss’. I want everyone to feel they can always come to me and keep the barrier low.”

Future vision and innovation Regarding the future of UNIS Group, Eibert sees opportunities in investing in new echnologies and expanding the repair services offered. “For my department, I would like to see a few new test robots so that we can grow with the technology in the actories. By looking ahead, we can repair more and continue to support more companies.” By staying up-to-date with recent developments in the sector and listening to customer needs, he believes the company can continue to grow.

"Motivating people comes naturally when you are cheerful and positive yourself."
